Apple Crisp

One of my favorite desserts is a fruit filled crisp. In the spring/summer, I use strawberries as a filler and in the fall/winter I use apples. Both versions are very yummy and a crowd pleaser. This time around I opted to try a new apple crisp recipe from a fellow blogger, Carlee.

It was AMAZING! This dessert is a must if you are having company over for dinner. Enjoy!

APPLE CRISP
(serves 8)

Filling:
About 3 cups of Apples
½ cup sugar
1 TBSP flour
½ tsp cinnamon

Topping:
½ cup oatmeal
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup flour
¼ cup butter
1/8 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
Peel and slice apples into chunks. Add filling mixture to apples and coat. Mix together topping and spoon over the apples.  Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
